A thrilling final quarter saw Cheadle Hulme's Under 12s secure victory in their first match of this season's Cup campaign.
A scrappy start to the game saw them trail 3-0 after the first quarter, but George and Jax proved unbeatable in the second - each assisting the other to score two goals apiece. Three goals from Mersey took the scoreline to 6-4 at the halfway point.
Solid defence led by Dillan in goal meant Ihab was the only player to hit the target for either team in the third quarter - meaning Cheadle Hulme went into the last 15 minutes trailing by a goal but high in team spirit.
The final quarter got underway with Dylan scoring minutes after the whistle, followed in quick succession by Rory, who made his scoring debut. Five more followed and with Mersey managing to score just 2, it was 7-12 at the final whistle.
